Events

Everything happening in the square, all year round.

Our public calendar is kept in Italian, since it is written by the volunteers as events are confirmed. Dates and times read the same in any language, and the regular events below are explained in English.

The events we hold

The calendar shifts a little from one year to the next. These are the occasions that come round most reliably.

Late April / early May

Membership day

A day in the square to open the new membership season, as soon as the weather is kind enough to spend it outdoors.

2nd and 3rd weekend of May

Patron saints: Sant'Ansano and Sant'Isidoro

The village's two patronal feasts, part religious tradition and part communal table.

14 August

Ferragosto dinner

Dinner at the Pro Loco stand on the eve of Ferragosto, the mid-August holiday, and the opening of the summer festivities.

25–26 September 2027

Vineando

Our festival of wine and local food, held among the lanes of the old village: tastings, music and food stalls across two evenings.

The Living Nativity of Allerona

The Presepe Vivente, a nativity scene performed by the villagers themselves, brings the old streets to life over the Christmas period, with lights, market stalls and food.
