Discover Allerona

The village, the countryside around it and the welcome that comes with both.

See and do

What to see and do

Allerona is a small Umbrian village overlooking the Paglia valley, between Orvieto and the borders with Tuscany and Lazio.

The old village and the clock tower

The historic centre gathers around the tower with the town clock, and is best crossed on foot, among stone lanes and openings onto the valley below.

Paths and walks

The countryside around Allerona offers circular routes through woods and farmland, such as the Anello della Meana loop — walks the Pro Loco also organises as group outings.

The surrounding area

A few minutes by car bring you to Orvieto and its cathedral, the lakes of Bolsena and Chiusi, and the Val di Chiana. Allerona makes a good base for exploring where Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio meet.
